Site Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

Sidan Associates & Partners is seeking a motivated Site Engineer to oversee construction activities across its Accra and Tema projects. You will ensure that work meets technical, quality, and safety standards while coordinating daily site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections, technical measurements, and verify incoming materials against specifications.
• Coordinate artisans, foremen, and subcontractors, monitoring labour deployment and productivity.
• Maintain accurate site records and prepare daily, weekly, and progress reports.
• Identify construction defects, support corrective actions, and ensure readiness for inspections.
• Support QA/QC procedures, safety compliance, and PPE usage.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Quantity Surveyors, and Procurement teams.
• Escalate technical risks, delays, and challenges promptly.
• Assist with snagging, handover, and defect rectification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of practical construction/site experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good technical reporting and documentation skills.
• Problem‑solving mindset and safety‑conscious attitude.
