Site Lead Aircraft Mechanic (US Citizen) – Ghana

About the role

Amentum is seeking a US‑citizen Site Lead Aircraft Mechanic to oversee all aircraft, subsystem and support‑equipment maintenance at a Ghana location. You will manage the CLS system, ensuring safe launch, recovery, and sustainment of the fleet while coordinating with government partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day maintenance of King Air/1900 series aircraft and associated subsystems.
• Supervise launch and recovery operations, inspections, and material handling.
• Manage Contractor Owned and Maintained Parts (COMP) inventory and supply chain.
• Coordinate repair and overhaul of repairable spares at FAA‑certified stations.
• Oversee support‑equipment upkeep, aircraft painting, engine repair and overhaul.
• Act as the on‑site liaison with the Government and ensure compliance with DoD security requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years aircraft maintenance experience.
• At least 3 years maintaining King Air/1900 airliner series, including complex modifications.
• One‑year experience as a site lead or 90 days supervised training under a senior lead mechanic.
• Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Ability to direct a workforce and obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
