Station Engineer – Accra

About the role

The Station Engineer will take full operational responsibility for unscheduled aircraft maintenance decisions, working closely with customer airlines to minimise flight disruptions. Based in Accra, the role ensures that maintenance activities are coordinated efficiently across OR Tambo and outstations, even during after‑hours and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Make unscheduled maintenance decisions in consultation with airline customers, aiming to minimise schedule impact.
• Coordinate all maintenance activities at OR Tambo and outstations after hours and on weekends to maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitor aircraft status, manage defects and implement corrective actions to stay within MEL/GT16 limits and avoid AOG situations.
• Liaise with Production Control, Line Maintenance and other stakeholders to plan and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Ensure accurate documentation and strict adherence to regulatory and safety standards across all maintenance actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aircraft maintenance and unscheduled maintenance decision‑making.
• Strong understanding of MEL and GT16 regulatory limits.
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate activities during non‑standard hours.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with airlines, production control and line maintenance teams.
