Store Manager – Retail Showroom

About the role

The Store Manager will lead daily operations of the Twyford showroom, delivering a premium customer experience that aligns with brand standards. This role combines strategic sales planning with hands‑on team leadership in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all showroom activities, ensuring visual merchandising, cleanliness, and product presentation meet high standards.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to exceed revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Recruit, train, mentor and motivate a team of sales consultants and support staff, fostering deep product knowledge.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, architects, contractors and developers.
• Analyse sales data and market trends to guide inventory planning and commercial decisions.
• Manage after‑sales service, including custom orders, delivery coordination and client feedback.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and health & safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of retail management experience in a major building‑materials or home‑improvement chain.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop a sales team, with experience in staff training and performance management.
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs, sales forecasting, inventory management and margin control.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Resilience and ability to thrive in a new, dynamic international setting; experience in or willingness to relocate within Africa is a plus.
