Superintendent Construction – Electrical

About the role

The Superintendent Construction – Electrical will lead on‑site construction and off‑site design activities for Newmont’s Ahafo mining operations. This senior position ensures projects align with plans, meet safety and quality standards, and are delivered on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight to the EPCM consultant on electrical engineering design.
• Coordinate all on‑site construction and off‑site design activities within the assigned area.
• Ensure compliance with Newmont standards, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and manage project estimates, budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, and project team members to deliver work safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Review and maintain quality control plans and reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading electrical construction projects in a mining or heavy‑industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
