Sustainability Lead

About the role

The Sustainability Lead will shape and execute the organisation’s ESG strategy, ensuring it aligns with regulatory requirements, industry best practices and corporate objectives. This senior position champions sustainability across operations, underwriting and investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, refine and implement the sustainability and ESG roadmap, integrating goals into enterprise planning and ensuring compliance with global standards.
• Monitor emerging ESG regulations, disclosure requirements and market expectations, providing insights on climate‑related risks and supporting climate‑smart insurance solutions.
• Lead sustainability projects from concept to delivery, managing budgets, resources, timelines and reporting progress to senior management.
• Collaborate with internal teams and engage external regulators, industry bodies and community partners to embed sustainability principles.
• Prepare ESG reports in line with global standards and track performance metrics for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for green insurance products, promote sustainable investment strategies and drive awareness through training and communication campaigns.

Required profile

• Proven experience in developing and implementing ESG or sustainability strategies.
• Strong knowledge of ESG regulations, standards and disclosure frameworks.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional projects and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Experience preparing ESG reports and communicating performance metrics.
• Demonstrated capacity to drive innovation in green products and sustainable investment.
