Systems Librarian / Digital Services Librarian

About the role

The University of Energy and Natural Resources is seeking a qualified professional to lead its library’s technology and digital services. The Systems Librarian / Digital Services Librarian will ensure the efficient operation of library management systems and support the university’s digital information environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the Library Management System, ensuring reliable access for users.
• Oversee the institutional repository, including content ingestion, preservation, and access.
• Implement and enforce metadata standards across digital collections.
• Manage electronic resource subscriptions, licensing, and access workflows.
• Provide technical support and training to library staff and patrons.
• Develop and promote digital services strategies aligned with academic needs.

Required profile

• Research master’s degree in Library and Information Science or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional library experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in library management systems, institutional repositories, metadata standards, and electronic resource management.
• Willingness to reside on the Sunyani or Dormaa Ahenkro campus.
