Technical Sales Engineer – Mining

About the role

Saint-Gobain is looking for a results‑driven Technical Sales Engineer to expand its presence in Ghana’s mining sector. Based in Takoradi or Kumasi, you will promote and sell technical solutions to mining customers, identify new business opportunities, and strengthen relationships with key operators, EPC contractors and distributors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share and achieve revenue targets.
• Identify, qualify and pursue new opportunities across mines, engineering contractors and processing plants.
• Promote Saint‑Gobain’s mining product portfolio and provide technical support to meet customer requirements.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and on‑site trials.
• Build and maintain relationships with mine managers, maintenance teams, procurement and engineering personnel.
• Manage strategic key accounts, drive customer retention and cross‑selling.
• Collaborate with internal technical, operations and supply‑chain teams to ensure product availability and high service levels.
• Prepare business cases, negotiate contracts and monitor competitor activity.
• Analyse market trends to recommend new product introductions and support development initiatives.
• Provide technical training to customers, distributors and internal stakeholders.
• Represent Saint‑Gobain at industry exhibitions, conferences and networking events.
• Monitor customer accounts for timely payment and maintain accurate sales forecasts in the CRM system.

Required profile

• Commercially astute professional with a strong technical background.
• Ability to understand complex customer challenges and propose value‑added solutions.
• Proven experience in sales or business development within the mining sector or related industries.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with decision‑makers.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
