Traditional Chinese Translator (Mandarin)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Traditional Chinese (Mandarin) Translator to join our manufacturing hub in Tema. The successful candidate will bridge language gaps between Chinese expatriates, local staff, and management, ensuring clear and culturally appropriate communication across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide real‑time interpretation between Traditional Chinese (Mandarin) and English during meetings, trainings, and site visits.
• Translate business documents, reports, emails, manuals, contracts, and operational procedures with high accuracy.
• Assist Chinese expatriates and local employees in overcoming language barriers.
• Support communication among management, production, engineering, procurement, and administrative teams.
• Proofread and review translated materials for consistency and quality.
• Accompany managers on inspections and meetings when interpretation is required.
• Help onboard Chinese staff by providing language support.
• Perform additional translation and administrative tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Translation, Chinese Language, Linguistics, International Relations, or a related field.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking skills in Traditional Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
• Minimum three years of translation or interpretation experience (preferred).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and confidentiality skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
