Transport Manager

About the role

The Transport Manager will lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of all transport activities for Sky Blue Waves Ltd across Accra and the Tema region. You will ensure timely deliveries, maintain fleet performance, and support business growth through strategic logistics management.

Key responsibilities

• Track deliveries, fuel usage, and conduct regular maintenance checks.
• Schedule operations, manage routes, and produce detailed performance reports for strategic decision‑making.
• Train, monitor, and supervise drivers while ensuring compliance with all transport laws and regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and service providers to negotiate pricing and resolve issues.
• Identify operational risks and opportunities, develop mitigation strategies, and support business development initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR on recruiting, interviewing, and hiring drivers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, forecast client behaviour, and design new processes to improve productivity and profitability.

Required profile

• HND or Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, and fleet management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and balance stakeholder expectations.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and client‑service orientation.
• Willingness to travel as needed and high personal integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
