Underground Mine Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Underground Mine Manager to lead all underground mining operations at a remote FIFO site. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on operational leadership to ensure safe, efficient and cost‑effective production while meeting long‑term resource development goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all underground mining and production activities.
• Drive safe, efficient and cost‑effective mining performance.
• Oversee mine planning, scheduling and production execution.
• Manage mining budgets, operational costs and resource allocation.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and develop operational capability.
• Coordinate with technical, maintenance and processing departments.
• Manage contractors and ensure operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with mining regulations, safety and environmental standards.
• Monitor production KPIs and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Support long‑term mine planning and operational strategy.

Required profile

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in underground mining operations.
• Previous experience in Mine Manager or senior mining leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of underground mining methods and mine planning.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of mining safety and regulatory compliance.
• Valid Mine Manager Certificate of Competency (or eligibility).
• Willingness to work in a remote FIFO environment.
