Veterinary Nurse – Full‑time Clinical Role

About the role

The Veterinary Nurse position at Mishvet Services is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Accra. You will work closely with veterinarians to provide safe, compassionate care for companion and farm animals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, administer medications, and perform basic diagnostic tests.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure clinic cleanliness, equipment preparation, and supply management.
• Educate clients on animal health, preventive care, and post‑treatment instructions.

Required profile

• Strong veterinary nursing skills, including assistance with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Excellent animal and pet care abilities with a focus on welfare, handling, and stress reduction.
• Foundational anesthesiology knowledge for monitoring vital signs and supporting safe anesthesia.
• Laboratory skills for sample collection, basic diagnostics, and accurate documentation.
• Relevant veterinary nursing certification or diploma (preferred) and strong interpersonal communication.
