Veterinary Nurse – Full‑time

About the role

The Vet Nurse at Mishvet Services works full‑time on‑site in Accra, supporting veterinarians with examinations, surgeries and treatments to ensure safe, compassionate care for companion and farm animals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during routine examinations, surgical procedures and treatments.
• Monitor patients before, during and after procedures, administer medications and perform basic diagnostic tests.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure clinic cleanliness, equipment preparation and supply management.
• Educate clients on animal health, preventive care and post‑treatment instructions.

Required profile

• Relevant veterinary nursing certification, diploma or equivalent training.
• Strong animal care and welfare focus with excellent handling skills.
• Foundational anesthesiology knowledge for monitoring vital signs and supporting safe anesthesia.
• Laboratory skills for sample collection and basic diagnostics.
• Effective communication and ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
