Banquets Manager

About the role

The Banquets Manager will lead a dedicated team to deliver high‑quality banquet services for events at our venue in Airport City, Accra. You will be responsible for overseeing all operational, financial, and customer‑service aspects of banquet functions, ensuring each event meets our standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and motivate banquet staff, schedule shifts, and forecast service standards while maximizing profitability.
• Manage supply needs, inventories, and equipment (china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, props) and control liquor costs using beverage records.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff, act as liaison, and ensure seamless execution of food and beverage service.
• Maintain sanitation standards, enforce policies, and apply relevant laws and safety procedures.
• Develop and nurture relationships with client groups to retain business and drive growth.
• Lead monthly department meetings, set goals, delegate tasks, and provide performance feedback.
• Handle guest feedback, resolve complaints, and continuously improve service quality.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in event management, food & beverage, or a related professional area.
• Proven ability to manage teams, inventories, and financial controls.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
