Hotel Manager

About the role

The Hotel Manager is responsible for coordinating all operative outlets of the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra, ensuring smooth daily operations, profitability, quality assurance, communication and staff leadership. The role also acts as the substitute for the General Manager when absent and leads project development within the team.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize sales and drive promotional activities.
• Substitute the General Manager in her absence and handle representative tasks.
• Coordinate, initiate and control all operational processes, delegating tasks as needed.
• Serve as the link between the General Manager and department heads, ensuring effective communication.
• Implement annual reviews, promotion, development and career planning, and initiate corrective actions with the GM.
• Lead safety and protection initiatives, including fire protection and emergency procedures.
• Coordinate budgeting, creation and control of operational budgets.
• Monitor and control room‑rate sales, quality of public and non‑public spaces, and technical condition of departments.
• Handle daily monitoring of all departments and initiate cross‑cutting projects.
• Develop and assure standards in rooms (Logis) and food & beverage, and manage forecast and yield for the Logis area.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Tourism/Hotel Management with training in international luxury hotel business management.
• International experience in comparable positions and sound training across various hotel departments.
• Analytical thinking, strong executive competence and ability to motivate and supervise employees.
• Administration, planning and organizational skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Presentation, customer service, budgeting and team leadership experience.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
