Fitness Manager – Local Hire

About the role

The Fitness Manager will take full responsibility for operating a successful fitness centre within Kempinski Hotels in Accra. You will lead the fitness team, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and drive profitability in line with the brand’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations and the fitness team, maintaining the highest standards of service.
• Provide guest orientations, tours, and personalised fitness programmes.
• Handle guest interactions, resolve complaints promptly, and uphold Kempinski SOPs.
• Maintain professional appearance and set a positive example for the team.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and client confidentiality.
• Plan employee schedules, holidays, and training programmes.
• Set monthly goals, monitor performance, and report results.
• Manage the fitness centre budget, control costs, and liaise with finance.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and stock management.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to support fitness operations.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Sports Management or related field.
• At least 5 years (60 months) of experience in fitness centre management.
• Senior‑level leadership experience with a proven track record of driving revenue.
• Strong knowledge of fitness modalities and hospitality service standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work varied hours as required by the business.
