Gender Equality & Social Inclusion Specialist (Non-Key Expert)

About the role

NTU International is preparing a proposal for the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The specialist will support the systematic integration of gender equality and social inclusion across programme activities, ensuring inclusive participation and gender‑responsive implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate gender equality and social inclusion considerations throughout programme activities.
• Promote inclusive participation of diverse stakeholders.
• Ensure gender‑responsive implementation of project components.
• Facilitate equitable access to opportunities generated by Africa‑EU space cooperation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in gender studies, social sciences, development studies or a related field.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in gender equality, social inclusion or inclusive development in international cooperation.
• At least 4 years of experience designing and applying gender‑responsive approaches in donor‑funded programmes, including gender analysis, sex‑disaggregated indicators, inclusive stakeholder participation, training or gender‑responsive communication.
• Familiarity with EU external‑action gender policy and experience in Africa are assets.
