General Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

The General Manager (Construction) will lead residential construction projects in Accra, overseeing every phase from concept to hand‑over. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines deep civil‑engineering expertise with strategic project management to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery of high‑quality homes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and allocate resources for residential developments, aligning with company goals and client expectations.
• Supervise civil, structural and finishing works, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, enforce high‑quality finishing standards, and approve materials and samples.
• Monitor project KPIs (cost, time, quality, safety), implement corrective actions and manage risks.
• Collaborate with quantity surveyors and commercial teams on cost control and budgeting.
• Provide technical guidance to site engineers, contractors and consultants, reviewing drawings, BOQs and specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field; master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.
• 10‑15 years of experience in high‑rise, luxury residential, commercial or villa construction.
• Proven track record delivering residential projects with high‑end finishing and industrial‑style aesthetics.
• Strong knowledge of modern construction techniques such as exposed concrete, post‑tension slabs, metal‑profile integration and glass façade systems.
