Maths Expert – Remote, $346 per task

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Maths Expert to design and solve challenging mathematical problems for evaluating large language models. This short‑term remote contract offers the opportunity to work directly with AI researchers on cutting‑edge evaluation benchmarks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and solve advanced mathematics problems to assess LLM performance.
• Create clear, step‑by‑step solutions with detailed reasoning.
• Collaborate with LLM researchers on evaluation benchmarks and reasoning tasks.
• Help define new benchmarks covering undergraduate to PhD‑level mathematics.
• Analyze complex mathematical problems using logical, structured approaches.
• Explain mathematical concepts using simple language, visuals, and examples.

Required profile

• Master’s, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong research and analytical abilities with creative, lateral thinking.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote work environment.
