Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant, Level 2

About the role

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) seeks a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Consultant (Level 2) to provide strategic leadership for evidence‑based programme monitoring in Ghana. The consultant will support the delivery of high‑quality, timely data that underpins WFP’s commitment to zero hunger and accountability to beneficiaries and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and oversight of monitoring systems that track programme outputs, outcomes and impact.
• Coordinate data collection, validation and analysis to ensure accurate, reliable evidence for decision‑making.
• Identify and resolve implementation challenges through timely escalation and adaptive management.
• Collaborate with Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (VAM) teams to integrate monitoring data with broader food security assessments.
• Produce regular monitoring reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism and commitment to humanitarian principles.
• Experience working in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments, preferably within UN or international NGOs.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
