National Director – Ghana

About the role

The National Director will provide strategic leadership for World Vision Ghana, guiding the implementation of the organization’s FY26‑30 strategy and aligning its work with Ghanaian government priorities. Reporting to the global partnership, the role combines local operational oversight with global representation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute and monitor the national strategy to improve child well‑being outcomes across 18 area programmes.
• Lead a senior leadership team of approximately 250 staff, ensuring effective governance and operational efficiency.
• Oversee resource development, including local fundraising, partnership building with government, private sector, churches and individual donors.
• Ensure financial stewardship and compliance with donor and regulatory requirements.
• Represent World Vision Ghana in national and international forums, fostering collaboration and advocacy.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience in the non‑profit, humanitarian or development sector.
• Proven track record in strategic planning, programme implementation and large‑scale resource mobilization.
• Deep understanding of Ghana’s socio‑economic context and government structures.
• Commitment to the organization’s Christian values and mission to serve vulnerable children.
