Nurse Manager

About the role

The Takoradi Technical University is seeking a qualified Nurse Manager to lead its nursing services. This senior position oversees clinical operations, ensures compliance with professional standards, and supports the delivery of high‑quality patient care within the university’s health facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise nursing staff, including recruitment, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies and procedures in line with the Nurses and Midwifery Council regulations.
• Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring accurate assessment, treatment planning, and documentation.
• Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement of medical supplies for the nursing department.
• Facilitate continuous professional development and training for nursing personnel.
• Collaborate with university administration and other health professionals to promote interdisciplinary care.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery from an accredited institution.
• Current registration as a State Registered Nurse (SRN) with the Nurses and Midwifery Council.
• Significant post‑qualification experience in nursing, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Ability to critically assess clinical cases within approved professional regulations.
