Payroll Consultant – MEA Region (Ghana/Nigeria)

About the role
We are seeking a Payroll Consultant for the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region, based in Ghana (Accra or Kumasi) or Nigeria (Lagos or Abuja). The role is a one‑year fixed‑term position within our People Services & Solutions shared‑services model, delivering end‑to‑end payroll processing and ensuring compliance across multiple countries.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full payroll cycle for assigned countries, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely delivery.
- Validate employee data from MyHR and other sources, identify discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
- Coordinate with the Managed Service Provider, Finance and HR teams to secure approvals and execute payroll runs, either manually or via vendor systems.
- Ensure payroll operations comply with statutory, tax and social‑security regulations and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
- Partner with local payroll vendors and the MSP to meet service level agreements and resolve issues promptly.
- Handle payroll‑related queries through the case‑management platform (e.g., C4C) and keep comprehensive case records.
- Drive process improvements, automation and continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Required profile
- Proven experience in end‑to‑end payroll processing for multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong knowledge of statutory, tax and social‑security compliance in the assigned countries.
- Ability to work collaboratively with MSPs, Finance, HR and external vendors.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Legal right to work in Ghana or Nigeria; no relocation or visa support provided.
- Willingness to work on‑site three days per week under a hybrid model.
