Project Lead, IT Projects Implementation

About the role

The Project Lead, IT Projects Implementation will drive the delivery of IT infrastructure and enterprise projects for MTN Ghana. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, remove execution roadblocks, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage small to medium‑size IT infrastructure and enterprise projects, aligning execution with strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure Project Manager to define scope, goals, success criteria, deliverables, and timelines.
• Track and report on project budgets, CAPEX commitments, change requests, and financial risks in line with MTN’s CAPEX Budget Management Framework.
• Facilitate planning and implementation meetings, prepare minutes, track actions, and ensure timeline adherence.
• Prepare and submit key project documentation such as Investment Requests, Project Plans, Progress Reports, and closure reports.
• Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies, coordinating mitigation and escalation as needed.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination and obtain formal sign‑offs from stakeholders.
• Coordinate task execution by internal staff and vendors, ensuring accountability and timely delivery.
• Maintain project documentation according to the Capital Project Management Framework and communicate scope changes.
• Foster collaboration within the team, resolve conflicts, and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading small to medium IT infrastructure or enterprise projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with project budgeting, CAPEX management, and risk mitigation.
