Purchasing Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will support the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director by overseeing all procurement activities for food, beverage and controllable items. This full‑time position ensures that purchasing processes are efficient, cost‑effective and compliant with sanitation and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchasing across departments, maintain an approved vendor list and enforce first‑in/first‑out inventory rotation.
• Order food and beverage items based on business needs, monitor budgets and work to lower controllable costs.
• Communicate with kitchen staff, restaurant management and vendors to coordinate timely deliveries.
• Verify invoices against shipments, ensuring quantity, quality and specifications match purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, perform period‑end inventory counts and generate reports for accounting.
• Enforce sanitation, safety and security standards in the storeroom and ensure compliance with brand guidelines.
• Assist in menu costing, C‑7s, and other administrative tasks related to purchasing.

Required profile

• 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, OR at least 2 years of purchasing experience.
• Strong understanding of food & beverage cost control and inventory management.
• Ability to produce accurate reports and presentations in a timely manner.
