Senior In-House Legal Counsel

About the role

The Senior In-House Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal advisory support to the firm and its clients on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, based in Accra, Ghana.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advisory on corporate, commercial and regulatory issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements, letters and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and deliver clear, practical legal opinions.
• Advise on regulatory requirements, compliance and legal risks.
• Support due diligence and legal reviews for business transactions.
• Assist with dispute resolution, litigation matters and coordinate with external counsel.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise on their impact.
• Mentor junior lawyers and manage workflow, priorities and case portfolio.

Required profile

• Llb and BL with admission to the Ghana Bar and a current practising licence.
• At least three years of post‑call experience in legal practice or in‑house counsel.
• Strong experience in corporate and commercial law, due diligence and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal transactions and manage multiple client matters independently.
• Excellent drafting, reviewing and negotiating skills for commercial contracts.
• Ability to work with international clients, supervise junior lawyers and support team development.
