About the role
The successful applicant will work in the Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD) of the West African Examinations Council, based in Accra. This full‑time position involves preparing and managing source data for computer entry and ensuring data integrity.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
- Maintain data entry requirements by following established techniques and procedures.
- Purge files to eliminate duplicate data.
- Secure information by completing regular database backups.
- Key to disk defective scannable documents and assist in query tracing.
Required profile
- Minimum WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE/GCE Ordinary Level with credits in at least five subjects, including English and Mathematics.
- At least one year of relevant post‑qualification experience in a reputable organization.
- Age not exceeding 30 years at the time of application.
Required skills
- Proficient typing skills.
- Experience with OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) technology.
- Ability to perform database backups.
- General computer and data‑entry software competence.
