National Consultant Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Accra, Ghana)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a National Consultant to lead the coordination and strategic transition of its Startup Lab in Accra. The four‑month consultancy will support the KOICA‑UNICEF Accelerating Entrepreneurship and Innovation initiative and ensure the programme’s sustainability through hand‑over to the University of Ghana.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation and day‑to‑day operations of the UNICEF Startup Lab.
• Oversee the transition of the Lab to the Ghana‑Korea Impact Centre of Excellence at the University of Ghana.
• Facilitate partnerships with entrepreneurship, technology and donor ecosystems.
• Manage knowledge‑sharing, impact measurement and end‑of‑project reporting.
• Provide strategic oversight, monitoring and learning for the programme.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Public Administration, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in entrepreneurship ecosystems, innovation management or startup acceleration in emerging markets.
• Demonstrated experience working with innovation hubs, accelerators, incubators or similar organisations.
• Strong understanding of youth entrepreneurship, digital skills development and social‑impact innovation.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of entrepreneurship ecosystems and startup acceleration.
• Experience in programme coordination and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to conduct impact measurement and reporting.
