Pastry Chef

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Pastry Chef to join our on‑site kitchen in Accra. You will be responsible for producing a wide range of high‑quality baked goods, desserts and pastries while supporting our social‑impact bakery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, breads and other desserts to company standards.
• Create and test new recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, texture and presentation.
• Manage daily food‑preparation processes and adhere to strict kitchen hygiene and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to meet production schedules and introduce innovative menu items.
• Maintain inventory of ingredients and ensure proper storage.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with bakery methods and techniques.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking processes.
• Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
• Creativity in recipe development and presentation.
• Effective time‑management and organizational abilities.
• Prior experience in a professional kitchen or bakery is preferred.
• Culinary education is an asset but not mandatory.
