Project Manager – 161kV Transmission Line & Substation Relocation

About the role

Electrofax Engineering Services is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a 161kV transmission line and substation relocation project. The role involves full‑cycle project leadership, ensuring the work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and stakeholder activities.
• Manage contractual obligations, ensure compliance with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Interface with utility operators, regulatory agencies, contractors, consultants and community stakeholders.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules, implement corrective actions and report status to management.
• Oversee procurement, delivery of materials and equipment, and manage project risks, issues and opportunities.
• Chair project meetings, produce regular progress reports and manage change requests and contractual claims.
• Ensure quality assurance, safety performance, environmental compliance and successful handover of the relocated facilities.

Required profile

• MSc in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional Project Management certification (PMP) – mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power transmission and substation projects, with at least 5 years in a project management role.
• Proven experience delivering high‑voltage transmission line and substation construction/relocation projects (132kV–330kV preferred).
• Strong knowledge of international engineering standards (IEC, IEEE, ISO, NEC, utility standards).
• Strategic leadership, decision‑making and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
