Senior Data Engineer – AI Data Platform

About the role

Zof AI is building next‑generation AI products and needs a Senior Data Engineer in Accra to own the data layer that powers its control plane. You will design, implement and maintain robust pipelines that turn raw agent runs, test results and remediation data into trustworthy datasets for evaluation, analytics and product reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build ingestion pipelines for agent runs, defect reproductions and remediation outcomes.
• Model and maintain warehouse tables that support evaluations, analytics and product reporting.
• Develop streaming and batch data paths that keep information fresh while ensuring correctness.
• Own end‑to‑end pipeline orchestration, including scheduling, dependencies, retries and backfills.
• Implement data quality checks, tests and alerting in every pipeline.
• Track data lineage so every reported metric can be traced back to its source.
• Collaborate with AI and product engineers to turn raw signals into usable datasets.
• Manage cost, performance and reliability of the production data platform.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and operating production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to model data in a warehouse.
• Proficiency in Python or a comparable language for data engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with an orchestration tool such as Airflow, Dagster or Prefect.
• Understanding of data quality, testing and schema evolution.
• Clear written and verbal communication and high ownership of built systems.
