Senior HSE Advisor

About the role

We are looking for a Senior HSE Advisor to design and implement programs that eliminate disease, injury, and environmental impacts across our North‑West African mining operations. You will ensure compliance with regional HSE laws, maintain ISO certifications, and foster a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with North‑West African HSE legislation, mining regulations and environmental standards.
• Advise management on regulatory changes and act as primary liaison with government authorities and external HSE consultants.
• Maintain and improve the Integrated Management System to retain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification.
• Lead internal audits, coordinate external audits and close corrective actions promptly.
• Prepare monthly HSE performance reports and support regional reviews.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments and manage Management of Change processes.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action follow‑up.
• Evaluate contractor HSE performance and deliver inductions and safety training.
• Support waste management, pollution prevention, spill response and emergency response planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in safety management, environmental health or related science.
• NEBOSH General Certificate.
• Internal/Lead auditor certification for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Minimum 8 years of HSE experience in manufacturing or mining environments.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
