Academic Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Professor in Computer Science/IT

About the role

The GIMPA School of Technology seeks qualified academics at the Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor or Professor level to strengthen teaching and research in Computer Science and Information Technology. Candidates will join a dynamic faculty focused on expanding knowledge and impact in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses covering Software Engineering, Data Mining and Warehousing, Networks and Telecommunications, Object‑Oriented Programming, Database Design, and Systems Analysis and Design.
• Supervise student research projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Engage in scholarly research and publish in international academic journals.
• Contribute to departmental administration and broader university community activities.

Required profile

• Enthusiasm for teaching and research in Computer Science or IT.
• Demonstrated or potential record of publishing in international journals.
• Advanced academic qualification (Doctorate or equivalent) for Lecturer level; higher scholarly achievement required for senior ranks.
• Willingness to teach across a broad range of CS/IT subjects.
• Research interests that complement existing faculty work in networking, wireless technologies, information systems, e‑learning, e‑government, and IT for development.
