Assistant Manager - Insurance Brokerage

About the role

Edward Mensah, Wood & Associates Limited (EMWA) Insurance Brokers is hiring an Assistant Manager for a full-time, on-site position in Accra. The role supports the day-to-day operations of the brokerage, working alongside senior managers and team members to serve clients and insurers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate client accounts and assist with policy placement and renewals
• Help resolve client inquiries
• Prepare and review documentation, support risk assessments and monitor service delivery
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to business development activities and help improve workflows
• Maintain accurate records and reports, and mentor junior staff and take part in training initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or a related field
• Solid understanding of insurance principles, risk management and brokerage operations; prior experience in insurance or financial services is an advantage
• Relevant professional certifications in insurance or risk management are beneficial
• Ability to work on-site in Accra in a team-oriented, client-focused environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, insurers and internal teams
• Proficiency in office productivity tools and basic data analysis for reporting and record keeping
• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
