Cardiac Physiologist

About the role

Halcome Management Services is establishing a new cardiac diagnostic service at the Bank Hospital in Accra. The Cardiac Physiologist will deliver high‑quality, patient‑focused cardiology diagnostics, supporting physicians in the assessment and treatment of cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and clean procedure rooms before, between, and after cases.
• Perform invasive and non‑invasive cardiovascular tests such as ECG, treadmill stress tests, blood pressure and heart‑rate monitoring, ultrasound and echocardiography.
• Operate and maintain specialised equipment including cardiac ultrasound scanners, intra‑aortic balloon pumps and pacemaker/ICD devices.
• Assist physicians during catheterisation lab procedures and support pacemaker implantation.
• Monitor patients with pacemakers, ICDs or heart valve replacements and conduct regular follow‑up assessments.
• Calibrate equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns and ensure all systems are operational.
• Record test results, analyse data and produce physiological reports for cardiologists and surgeons.

Required profile

• Degree in healthcare science, medical science or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a hospital environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and competence in diagnostic procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Professional, calm and caring interpersonal approach.
