Computer Lab Facilitator

About the role

Loozeele Excellence Academy is looking for a dedicated Computer Lab Facilitator to lead digital literacy initiatives and support student success in a technology-rich setting. The role covers daily lab operations, technical guidance and mentoring learners as they build information technology skills, ensuring a safe, functional and engaging learning space.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily lab operations so that all hardware and software work correctly and are well maintained.
• Cultivate a secure and encouraging environment that promotes effective learning and exploration.
• Maintain accurate inventories of hardware, software licenses and digital educational resources.
• Assist students and faculty in using computers and educational applications.
• Deliver foundational IT training covering word processing, web navigation and introductory programming concepts.
• Monitor student progress and provide prompt technical support.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic troubleshooting on computers, printers and related equipment.
• Update software systems and enforce security protocols to protect lab assets and data.
• Collaborate with administrative and teaching staff to configure digital tools for classroom use.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in information technology, computer science or a related field.
• Relevant experience in IT support, computer lab management or digital skills instruction.
• Strong organisational skills and a proven ability to solve technical problems efficiently.
• Ability to collaborate with students and educational staff and to handle sensitive information professionally.
