Computer Lab Facilitator

About the role

The Computer Lab Facilitator plays a key role in advancing digital literacy at Loozeele Excellence Academy by managing the computer lab, delivering foundational IT instruction and keeping all technical resources running smoothly. This is a full-time, in-person position that supports both students and teachers in building essential 21st-century skills.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the computer lab, making sure equipment works and the space is safe and conducive to learning.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware, software and digital learning resources, including inventory tracking and asset management.
• Deliver basic IT training on word processing, internet navigation, digital citizenship and introductory coding.
• Provide timely technical support to students and staff, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, software updates and security configurations to protect lab systems and data.
• Support the use of digital tools in teaching and administration across the academy.
• Monitor student progress in digital skills and give individualized guidance and feedback.
