Computer Vision Annotator

About the role

The Computer Vision Annotator works remotely to create high‑quality labeled datasets that power computer‑vision and machine‑learning models. You will use specialized annotation tools to mark objects, key points, and 3‑D structures in images, video, and point‑cloud data.

Key responsibilities

• Draw precise bounding boxes, polygons, polylines, and 3‑D cuboids around objects of interest.
• Place key points for pose estimation and perform semantic/instance segmentation.
• Annotate point‑cloud and LiDAR data for autonomous‑vehicle and robotics applications.
• Interpret complex labeling taxonomies and refine guidelines in collaboration with project managers and data scientists.
• Provide feedback on annotation tools (e.g., CVAT, Label Studio, 3D Slicer, SageMaker Ground Truth) to improve workflow efficiency.
• Identify edge cases, potential biases, and challenging data patterns, escalating findings to improve model robustness.
• Assist with basic data preparation tasks such as image resizing and format conversion.
• Track key performance indicators like throughput, precision, and recall.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data annotation or quality assurance for computer‑vision projects.
• Strong understanding of computer‑vision concepts (object detection, segmentation, LiDAR, point clouds).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy on repetitive tasks.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with annotation tools such as CVAT, Label Studio, 3D Slicer, Supervisely, and Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth.
• Experience creating bounding boxes, polygons, key points, 3‑D cuboids, and segmentation masks.
• Familiarity with quality‑control processes like consensus labeling and inter‑annotator agreement metrics.
