Director of Allied Health

About the role

The Director of Allied Health will provide strategic leadership, coordination and expert advice for Allied Health Services at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. The role includes overseeing research, training programmes and collaboration with recognised institutions to ensure high‑quality clinical care and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop short, medium and long‑term plans and budgets for Allied Health Services.
• Implement governance, infection‑control and quality‑assurance systems.
• Support, monitor and evaluate programmes that enhance clinical effectiveness.
• Lead the design and management of clinical information systems.
• Supervise technical support and implementation partners for Allied Health initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with strategic goals and resource allocation.

Required profile

• Excellent leadership and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Broad knowledge of health policies, operating procedures and quality‑assurance issues.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
