Director of Human Resources

About the role

The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation is seeking a seasoned HR professional to lead its Human Resources Division. Reporting directly to the Director‑General, the Director of Human Resources will shape and execute HR policies that support the corporation’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an HR strategy aligned with the corporate strategy.
• Formulate, enforce and monitor compliance with HR policies and labour legislation.
• Prepare, control and monitor the HR division’s budget.
• Design and manage HR systems covering recruitment, onboarding, training, compensation, benefits, retention, succession planning and employee wellness.
• Produce timely monthly, quarterly and annual HR reports for senior management.
• Provide strategic HR advice and counsel to senior leaders.
• Foster a high‑performance culture focused on empowerment, productivity and continuous improvement.
• Regularly review HR and administrative processes to ensure best‑practice alignment.

Required profile

• First degree plus a postgraduate qualification in Business Administration or Human Resource Management.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Membership of a recognised professional HR body is an advantage.
