About the role
The incumbent will operate official UNICEF vehicles, ensuring safe transport of staff, delivery of mail and documents, and the secure movement of goods. The role also includes routine vehicle upkeep and adherence to safety and security standards.
Key responsibilities
- Drive office vehicles for authorized personnel, mail, documents and other items.
- Meet officials at the airport and assist with immigration/customs formalities.
- Perform daily vehicle checks (oil, water, battery, brakes, tires) and report any defects.
- Carry out minor repairs, arrange for major servicing, and keep the vehicle clean.
- Ensure safety and custody of the vehicle, tools and transported goods.
- Undertake any other duties as required by the Administrative Assistant.
Required profile
- High school diploma.
- Professional driver’s licence.
- Minimum five years of continuous safe driving experience.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
- Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
- Understanding of basic auto‑mechanics is advantageous.
