About the role
The Electrical Engineering Officer will supervise maintenance teams responsible for diesel‑electric locomotive operations, ensuring safety and efficiency across the fleet. The role is based in Tema, Ghana, and is a full‑time position.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on diesel‑electric locomotives.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor diagnosis and repair of electrical, electronic, traction, and control system faults.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintenance procedures and operational standards.
- Coordinate with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to improve fleet performance and minimize downtime.
Required profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years industrial experience in locomotive or power system maintenance.
- Good understanding of railway maintenance procedures, electrical safety standards and workplace safety regulations.
