Electrical Supervisor – Surface Mine Infrastructure (LV)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead the low‑voltage (LV) infrastructure refurbishment and maintenance at our surface mine in Kumasi. The role ensures plant availability, safety and cost‑effectiveness while supporting AngloGold Ashanti’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control LV electrical refurbishment projects to meet quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Conduct periodic audits and reviews of surface‑mine LV infrastructure during refurbishment and subsequent maintenance.
• Develop and execute condition‑monitoring routes, performing visual checks, vibration, infrared, ultrasonic, motor‑current and flux data collection.
• Analyse predictive‑maintenance data, trend results and report plant condition for corrective action.
• Generate work requests in SAP for planning and scheduling of refurbishment and maintenance activities.
• Participate in maintenance review programmes and root‑cause failure analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in LV electrical systems within mining or heavy‑industry environments.
• Strong understanding of total quality management and zero‑defect objectives.
• Ability to work safely on‑site and adhere to environmental management plans.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to collaborate with the Electrical Superintendent.

Required skills

• Low‑voltage electrical refurbishment and maintenance.

• Non‑destructive testing (NDT) data collection.
• Predictive‑maintenance data analysis and reporting.
