Fleet Officer – Telematics

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Fleet Officer specializing in telematics to oversee vehicle tracking, maintenance and documentation across our fleet. The role combines hands‑on technical work with data analysis to ensure efficient and secure fleet operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install and manage GPS trackers on all vehicles.
• Ensure continuous tracking and monitor vehicle locations.
• Verify vehicles remain within designated primary locations.
• Support Collections, Recovery and Welfare teams with vehicle data.
• Report abnormal situations and issues promptly to management.
• Use GPS systems to monitor drivers and assist in theft recovery.
• Analyse telematics data to improve operational efficiency.
• Create and complete job cards for preventive maintenance at any MAX location.
• Administer champion’s satisfaction survey.
• Issue vehicle exit authorizations.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Good understanding of inventory control principles.
• Critical and analytical thinking with high attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and thoroughness.
• Degree in Engineering, Sciences, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Experience using Google Workspace tools.
• Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and telematics hardware.
