About the role
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through immaculate cleanliness and visual standards onboard. This senior hospitality leader ensures premium service execution, maintains high safety and quality standards, and fosters a positive work environment for the housekeeping team.
Key responsibilities
- Own the overall cleanliness and visual impression of all guest areas on the ship.
- Lead, train, and develop housekeeping supervisors and crew members, maintaining a strong floor presence.
- Ensure compliance with Royal Caribbean’s Safety, Quality, Environmental, and brand standards, as well as USPH guidelines.
- Manage chemical handling, equipment safety, and proper waste removal procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet guest satisfaction targets and resolve service issues promptly.
Required profile
- 2‑3 years progressive housekeeping management experience, preferably in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and equipment handling.
- Experience with talent assessment, coaching, and leadership development.
- Understanding of human‑resources policies and practices.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with industry software such as SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, and Kronos.
