ICT Assistant Intern

About the role

The ICT Assistant Intern will join the UNDP Ghana Country Office’s ICT Unit, providing first‑level technical support and helping maintain accurate ICT asset records. Working under the ICT Associate and Operations Manager, you will ensure staff can use digital tools efficiently and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level support for laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, email and other collaboration tools.
• Log, track, and escalate support requests, ensuring timely resolution.
• Assist with the implementation of the Inventory Management System: validate asset records, tag equipment, update custodian assignments, and reconcile physical assets with system data.
• Support user account creation, onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Contribute to cybersecurity awareness by promoting safe use of digital resources.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently completed a relevant ICT or related programme.
• Strong interest in providing end‑user support in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow established procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite and collaboration platforms (Teams, Zoom).
• Basic troubleshooting of hardware (PCs, printers, mobile devices) and software issues.
• Familiarity with ICT asset tagging and inventory management.
• Understanding of network connectivity basics.
