Import Documentation Specialist

About the role

The Document Specialist is responsible for precise management of import‑related documentation and real‑time updating of tracking systems, ensuring goods entering Ghana are declared accurately and stakeholders have up‑to‑date logistics data.

Key responsibilities

• Customs Declaration (ICUMS): Execute and manage import declarations within the Integrated Customs Management System, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with Ghanaian customs regulations.
• Systems Management (CMS): Perform regular updates to the Content Management System to reflect current shipment status and documentation.
• Data Tracking: Maintain and update comprehensive Google Sheets and internal trackers to provide real‑time visibility on logistics progress.
• Administrative Support: Carry out additional documentation tasks assigned by the Logistics Manager to support operational flow.

Required profile

• Education: Degree holder, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with import procedures and documentation; prior experience with ICUMS is a significant advantage.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Drive).
• Soft Skills & Attitude: Proactive, eager to learn new systems, with high attention to detail.
