Investment Banking Associate, IB AWA Region

About the role

The Investment Banking Associate will support the execution of M&A, equity and debt capital market transactions for corporate, financial institution and public sector clients across the AWA Region. Working under limited supervision, the associate will own transaction workstreams and act as a credible counterpart for clients, investors and advisers.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage transaction workstreams from mandate to closing.
• Lead end‑to‑end due diligence, coordinating lawyers, auditors and other advisers.
• Identify execution risks and manage information memoranda, data rooms and investor/lender processes.
• Build, review and challenge financial and transaction models.
• Prepare pitch books, proposals, term sheets, memorandums, teasers and other marketing materials.
• Assist coverage bankers in client marketing and business development.
• Conduct advanced financial analysis and modelling using Excel or other tools.
• Supervise, coach and develop analysts and contribute to team infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong academic record.
