Operator Trainer – Underground Mining Equipment

About the role

Sandvik is looking for an Operator Trainer to deliver high‑quality training on its underground mining equipment in Ghana. You will work closely with internal teams and external customers to improve safety, efficiency and equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, practical and underground operator training on Sandvik underground equipment.
• Ensure all training activities comply with Sandvik SHEQ standards and site‑specific safety requirements.
• Provide hands‑on coaching during live underground operations.
• Identify performance gaps and implement corrective coaching actions.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments and certifications.
• Prepare training reports, competency matrices and recommendations for customers and stakeholders.
• Support audits and compliance reviews related to competence and training.
• Manage customer and stakeholder relationships concerning underground equipment operations.
• Develop procedural frameworks and give feedback on training effectiveness, operator performance and equipment usability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in delivering technical training for underground mining equipment.
• Strong leadership and customer‑relation skills.
• Solid understanding of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) standards.
• Ability to analyse performance data and implement coaching plans.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
