Patron Housing Supervisor

About the role

The Patron Housing Supervisor ensures that every visitor to the temple experiences a welcoming and comfortable stay. Reporting to the Temple Recorder, this full-time position oversees all aspects of the temple’s housing and laundry operations in Accra.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of employees and volunteers handling room assignments, reservations, check‑ins, check‑outs and rent collection.
• Conduct regular training meetings, performance reviews and coordinate volunteer schedules.
• Manage daily cash reconciliation, payment handling and financial reporting for housing services.
• Oversee laundry processes, bedding inventory, supply ordering and ensure operations stay within budget.
• Monitor building safety, report concerns to the Special Projects Department and maintain the property management system.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of post‑secondary education and at least four years of relevant experience, preferably in hospitality or supervisory roles.
• Proven ability to teach, motivate and evaluate staff and volunteers.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical capability to lift up to 30 lb and remain standing or seated for extended periods.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Experience handling payments and basic financial principles.
